Subject: Act Like You Speak, America!

Dear Editor,

America's war on terrorism is a just war. Unanswered barbaric attacks encourage madmen. The Bush administration has repeatedly said: You are with us, or you are with the terrorists. Friendly nations like India have unhesitantly supported America in its quest for justice.

But how many Americans know that their government, while talking about a global war against terrorism, is pressuring India to sit tight and not respond to the murderous terrorist activities sponsored by neighboring Pakistan? Nobody except the Taliban asked the US to negotiate with terrorists. So why does America demand that nations like India display restraint and compromise with evildoers?

In its quest for next-quarter results, America is missing great opportunities for strategic synergy with like-minded free democracies. America would be wise to not blindly trust the instantly-reformed bandits in its posse. America should strive to eliminate terrorism, not redirect it away from itself.

Nearly 200,000 Hindu and Other Religious Minorities in Bangladesh Terrorized by the Bangladeshi Government and Islamic Fundamentalists.

According to newspaper reports and eyewitnesses, Hindu and other religious minorities of Bangladesh are being terrorized by the Bangladeshi government and Islamic Fundamentalist organizations. The Hindu populated village of Ramshil under Kutalipara sub-district of Gopalganj has become a refugee camp overnight. Post Election violence in three districts of Bangladesh has displaced more than 15 thousand minority families who have taken refuge in various schools, colleges and open fields of Ramshil union. According to eyewitness reports - torture, oppression, looting, gang raping, and other atrocities can even overcome the barbarism of the 1971 war.

The unaided and terrorized thousands of these minorities are from Gournadi of Agailzara under Barishal, Mullahat of Bitalmari under Bagherhat, and Najirpur of Firujpur. Among these districts the severely affected area is Barishal where numerous women were gang raped and repressed inhumanely. According to Chhatra League Secretary Rasel and Bipul, BNP and Jamait allies went on a barbaric rampage in Chandshi, Bahadurpur, Barthi, Pingolkati, Ashukati, Agailzara and numerous other places on minorities for their support of Awami League. They gang raped women publicly, removed eyes of victims, slaughtered any one in their way. An eyewitness says, "you name any sorts of barbaric misdeeds, these Islamic fundamentalists have committed them all." The barbaric raping of two teens from Dhanduba under Gournadi sub-district by the aforementioned miscreants will shame the entire world. They have even poisoned the ponds so that minorities cannot even drink the water. Most of the displaced minorities are preparing to leave Bangladesh. The villagers of Ramshil are afraid that the Islamic fundamentalist may attack their village too.

The same barbaric rampages are reported from Rajshahi, Chapainababganj, Pabna, Atgoria, Kashinathpur and other Northern districts of Bangladesh. Hindu minorities from Dinajpur, Takurgawn, Gopalpur, Tarash Sirajganj, Ullapara, Gaibanda and Shahajadpur are already leaving the country. The indigenous people along with other minorities are also victims of the same barbaric rampage. Most of the victims stated that no police protection was seen anywhere. Minorities in Bangladesh have no government support.

Human Rights Congress for Bangladeshi Minorities (HRCBM) appeals to Governments and aid agencies all over the world to immediately provide relief to these terrorized minorities in Bangladesh.

Subject: New York Mayor Giuliani Sacrifices Terrorists' Victims for Zionist Patronage

Mayor Rudolf Giuliani certainly gives the impression of a politician who is unduly influenced by the Zionist biases of many of his Jewish constituents.

To turn down a $10 million donation to the New York relief fund established for the victims of the September 11 tragedy simply because the donor made a public statement calling upon the United States to "re-examine its policies in the Middle East and adopt a more balanced stance toward the Palestinian cause" reveals a mentality that is the mindset of a purely political animal.

One could say that New York's mayor performed a public service for all to see concerning the absolute stupidity of some politicians regarding one of the primary causes of the terrorist attack that caused the deaths of some five thousand human beings. That cause being America's mindless support of Israel for more than a half-century.

Noted Florida International University Professor of International Studies Cheryl Rubenberg, who happens to be Jewish, noted in ISRAEL AND THE AMERICAN NATIONAL INTEREST (University of Illinois Press, 1986) that "the power of the Israeli lobby over the formation and execution of U.S. policy has become a virtual stranglehold."

Mayor Giuliani is simply another politician who has sacrificed American interests on the altar of Zionism. Prince Alaweed's $10 million could have done a lot of good for the victims and survivors of September 11.

Subject: Why do they hate us?

People have been asking a number of questions since September 11th. "Why do they hate us?" was one. Here are some others:

(1) How is intensive bombing of one of the poorest countries on earth, which will inevitably turn into a humanitarian catastrophe, going to convince people in the rest of the world that the United States values life and is opposed to terrorism?

(2) Why do people compare the attack on the World Trade Center to the attack on Pearl Harbor when there is a controversy over the possibility that FDR let Pearl Harbor be attacked in order to build up support for the United States entering World War II (Robert Stinnett, The Day of Deceit: The Truth About FDR and Pearl Harbor, 2000)?

(3) Why do people trust the U.S. government to be telling the truth about its reasons for this war when propaganda and pretexts for other wars have turned out to be lies? How about the incubators in Kuwait (a story revealed on "60 Minutes" to have been concocted by the Hill & Knowlton PR firm) before the Gulf War? How about the Gulf of Tonkin incident (which never happened but was the basis of the Gulf of Tonkin Resolution) before the Vietnam War?

(4) Since Osama bin Laden was trained and supported by the CIA, Saddam Hussein was a former U.S. ally, Manuel Norega was a CIA employee, and the CIA was instrumental in allowing crack cocaine into this country to finance the Contra War against Nicaragua (Gary Webb, Dark Alliance: The CIA, The Contras, and the Crack Cocaine Explosion, 1998), why isn't the United States government, and especially the CIA, considered even more of an enemy of the American people than the Taliban?

(5) Since the United States was planning to attack the Taliban even before

September 11th (BBC, 9-18-01; Washington Post, 10-14-01), how do we know that the September 11th attack wasn't allowed to happen in order to build up war hysteria?

(6) If the U.S. government was taken by surprise by the September 11th attacks, how did they produce the list if hijackers so quickly?

(7) Since the FBI had an inside informant in the previous bombing attempt at the World Trade Center in 1993, why wasn't the information from that informant used to stop that attempt before six people were killed and 1000 injured?

(8) Why did the consortium of news organizations that recounted the presidential votes in the 2000 Florida election conceal from the American people the news that Al Gore decisively won that state?

If any of these questions is based on urban legend, perhaps the reporters of the╩Jackson Progressive╩could╩enlighten╩their readers. ╩If not, then╩they and reporters throughout the country had better do some really good investigative reporting and find out the truth for the American people.

This country is doing a grave injustice to the career soldiers now putting their lives on the line for us in Afghanistan.

There is a law passed over 150 yrs ago that says, any military person who retires from the service with 20yrs or more YEARS OF SERVICE, must give up some or all of his retirement check to pay for his Service Connected injuries to receive a VA check for those injuries. So, he is paying out of his own pocket for wounds he received fighting for us.

The Senate has an amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act to change this law but it`s not FUNDED and most likely won`t be for years to come.

This goverment has funded much in the last month but what is more important than this?

The career soldier, now in Afghanistan, if wounded, returns to the states and retires from service, will have to pay himself for injuries he received fighting for us all.

How can this country and our goverment do this to these brave hero`s. RIGHT IS RIGHT AND IT`S TIME WE DO RIGHT BY THEM NOW!!. NOT NEXT YEAR, NOT NEXT WEEK, NOW. THEIR FIGHTING NOW !!!!!!!

Has God really enlisted to fight on America's side during our tragic, albeit justified, confrontation with a part of the Muslim word? Can it be demonstrated that God has ever supported any group of human beings engaged in warfare against another group of human beings? To suggest that he has is the basest form of blasphemy.

Certainly Christ is being crucified once again by those chauvinistic pseudo-patriots such as those members of the House of Representatives who passed a non-binding resolution on October 16 by nearly a unanimous vote that schools around the country be encouraged to conspicuously display the phrase, "God Bless America."

I suspect that God was not pleased when fanatics claiming to represent Him murdered some five thousand human beings in New York on September 11. Moreover, I suspect that He is equally displeased when our members of the House of Representatives wish to get an undeserved reputation for piety by such unseemly public protestations of godliness.

Not only are the members of the House guilty of blasphemy, they are also guilty of a form of treason against the Constitution of the United States of America. I call their attention to a decision of the United States Supreme Court made in 1943:

"No official, high or petty, can prescribe what shall be orthodox in politics, nationalism, religion, or other matters of opinion or force citizens to confess by word or act their faith therein." (West Virginia v. Barnette).

We can truly love our country only by honoring its Constitution.

We can truly honor God by remembering the words of Jesus to love our enemies. (Matthew 5:44)

God loves all humanity. He does not take sides.
